

Standard envelope window size is considered 1 1/8 x 4 1/2 or 1 1/8 x 4 3/4. Standard placement is 7/8 from left and 1/2 or 5/8 from bottom. You can load them as class option without the postfix. At a minimum, windows should be placed 1/2 from the side and the bottom of the face of the envelope to ensure adequate room for patch adhesive. DINmtext.lco (German only C6 and C5/6), SNleft.lco (swiss). Depending on the template you pick, you may have options to add a logo or image. If you see one you like, select it and use Create to open it for editing.

You’ll then see a handful of envelope templates you can use. There are some other lco files predefined, e.g. Type Envelopes into the search box and press Enter. The default settings ( DIN.lco is loaded automatically) are for German C4, C5, C6 and C5/C6 envelopes. Note that the position of the window depends on the country and the size of envelope. So here is a suggestion for a letter using scrlttr2: \documentclass[īackaddress=off,% no backaddress above the recipients addressįoldmarks=off,% no foldmarks - maybe you want to use them I am not familiar with the standard letter class.
