She has worked opposite Sivaji in the movie – Anbe Aaruyire (1975). She was one of the leading ladies of MGR after Rickshawkaran and together they have delivered hits like Ulakam chuttum vaaliban (1974). She shifted to Telugu industry and became popular. Sridevi made her Tamil debut as heroine in the romantic film Kadhal Virus by Kathir.
